Terrorists used to attack and flee while the Congress government at the Centre cried for safety, reminded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a crowd of thousands of people at an election campaign rally here in support of Mahayuti candidate on Tuesday, and cautioned them to vote judiciously in the next few phases.
Taking jibe at the former UPA governments led by the Congress, PM Modi ridiculed them for singing peaceful songs while the world glared at India. “How could a weak government strengthen the country?” he said.
Campaigning for Mahayuti candidate Archana Patil of NCP Ajit, who is contesting against sitting UBT MP Om Raje Nimbalkar, PM Modi started off his speech in Marathi saying “I have come to Dharashiv (Osmanabad) to seek the blessings of goddess Maa Tuljabhavani and the people of district for a strong India, a developed India.”
He reminded the crowd that it is only him, Modi, who is tirelessly working day and night to change their lives; while the opposition, the INDI Agadhi, is using all their strength to change their PM Modi.
“Those whose opportunity to carry out scams I’ve halted, will they not be furious with Modi? Will they not hurl abuses at him?” he posed a rhetorical question and added, “They’re busy scaring you, sometimes in the name of democracy, sometimes in the name of the Constitution, sometimes in the name of reservation.”
Lashing out at the opposition, he told the crowd that now the Congress have even opened a shop for fake videos. “Serious allegations have been made against the Congress Party and its members for creating fake videos. I ask you, should the shops of those selling such lies be closed or not?” PM Modi added.
Exposing the intentions of the Opposition, PM Modi accused the Congress of setting its sights on people’s property. “They’re saying they’ll X-ray your house and everything inside.They’re preparing to raid your houses and lands and distribute half of it among their vote bank,” he said.
Reiterating his “mangalsutras of our mothers and sisters” narrative, PM Modi once again said: “Will women in Maharashtra accept their auspicious jewellery to be distributed among Congress’ vote-bank.
Attacking the Opposition on the Marathwada water grid scheme, he said water could not reach the fields grid project was stopped. “Will you vote for those who stopped your water?” he said.
The prime minister reminded the voters: “Your vote is crucial for a stronger India and for establishing a robust government. Your votes will also strengthen Modi’s power. I urge everyone here, when you depart, spread the word that Modi visited…”
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, his deputies Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, candidate Patil, Rana Jagjitsinh among other Mahayuti leaders were also present.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that unlike the practice during Congress regime of sending dossiers to Pakistan after the Mumbai terror attacks, the BJP-led government hits terrorists on their home turf.
“During the Congress regime, the news headlines were about India handing over another dossier to Pakistan about terror activities.
“It used to be big news. Some of our friends in the media used to clap after any such dossier was sent,” Modi said at an election rally in Maharashtra’s Latur.

“The headlines in Naya Bharat are: Mission LOC, India punishes Pakistan through surgical strikes,” Modi said.
Modi also claimed that the INDIA bloc has come up with a “formula” whereby the parties in the opposition alliance will get the PM’s post for one year each if they come to power.” With such a system, the good of the country cannot be expected, Modi said.
“Some people want to make the PM in instalments. They hey have decided to have a PM each year,” he said.
Modi said Congress destroyed India’s economy during its regime.
Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Modi said, “When I speak of ‘EK Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, the Prince of Congress suffers from fever”.
“Those who looted the country are behind bars. Those who looted the country will have to pay back. And this is Modi’s guarantee,” he said.
“The people of our country have always been hardworking and talented, but the Congress party committed the sin of crushing their dreams,” he said.
The Congress thought about only one family, but Modi thinks about every family of Bharat, he said.
“In 2014 and 2019, you gave us a huge mandate. We utilised it not to snatch anything from anyone, but to provide benefits and ensure welfare. Ours is a government that truly gives strength to social justice,” Modi said
