Jammu, Dec, 31
Describing as a splendid victory of the nation in general and people of Jammu province in particular the withdrawal of the dangerous order that was issued by the undesirable elements in the administration to disarm members of the Village Defence Committees (VDCs) in the terrorist-infested Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban areas, IkkJutt Jammu chairman, Advocate Ankur Sharma today congratulated the people of these areas for taking up this issue of national import and also thanked the Governor of J&K, SP Malik, for taking cognizance of the demand of IkkJutt Jammu seeking withdrawal of the atrocious order failing which IkkJutt Jammu would give “Doda-Kishtwar Chalo Call”.
“Withdrawal of the dangerous order that was issued by the undesirable elements in the administration to disarm members of the Village Defence Committees (VDCs) in the terrorist-infested Doda, Bhadrwah, Kishtwar and Ramban areas of Jammu province is the victory of the nation and the nationalist people of Jammu province.
Had the authorities not withdrawn this order, the minority community in these areas would have become the targets of Jihadi forces, who have been trying to convert these areas into Kashmoir by causing Hindu migration. The application of the order would have endangered not just the national security but also endangered the liveS of the minority community in the areas,” said Ankur Sharma while talking to media persons here in Jammu.
IkkJutt Jammu Chairman urged the President of India, the Prime Minister, the Home Minister and J&K Governor to arm the VDCs with sophisticated weapons so that the VDCs could meet the challenge posed by radical Islamists to the unity of the nation, defeat the enemies and protect and promote the paramount national interest in Jammu province. He also demanded more VDCs for all these and other terrorist-infested areas in Jammu province and said the need of the nation is to enhance the salaries of the VDCs, who have been playing a critical role since 1999.
“Creation of more VDCs in Jammu province is the need of the nation and exigency of the time. Jihadi forces in Kashmir have been trying to convert Jammu province into Lebanon and create Kashmir-like situation in Jammu province to accomplish their sinister design: separation of J&K from India and establishment of Nizam-e-Mustafa in the state. We the people of Jammu and IkkJutt Jammu are there to defeat them. At the same time, we need the support of the Union Government so that we fight to defeat the enemies,” said Ankur Sharma, adding that “IkkJutt Jammu is committed to protecting and promoting the distinct identity of Jammu province and defeating the ongoing demographic invasion on Jammu”.
In the mean time, IkkJutt Jammu chairman urged the Governor of J&K to direct the JDA, the Revenue Department, JDA, Housing Board and Police to implement in letter and spirit and without fear or favour the High Court orders on illegal constructions in and encroachments around Jammu City and in other parts of Jammu province, especially Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Udhampur and Reasi districts and take action against those who allowed illegal constructions, encroachments, construction of roads, providing electricity and water connections and setting up markets in the encroached areas.
“This a must to save Jammu’s demography, maintain population balance and defeat those who have been targeting Jammu province in general and Jammu city in particular to promote Pakistani cause in the province,” said Ankur Sharma, reassuring the people of the province that IkkJutt Jammu shall always be with them and fight for their national cause to the best of its ability and capacity. He also appealed the people of Jammu province to join the IkkJutt Jammu movement in large numbers. Among others present were Ajaat Jamwal and Ashwani Sharma.
