Family alleges murder protest held by closing the road

A woman has died under suspicious circumstances in Palouda area of Janipur. Her in-laws said that she committed suicide by hanging herself. Whereas her parents say that she was murdered. Her parents blocked the road and protested. Seeing the situation deteriorating, the police have taken the woman’s husband into custody. A case has been registered in this regard and further action has been started. Police say that investigation is being done. According to the information, Anamika Chib, wife of Dharamveer Chib, resident of Palouda, has died. Her in-laws informed the police. After which the police reached the spot. Later she was taken down from the noose. The family members said that she had hanged herself. The police took the body into custody. After some time, her parents also came to the spot. They closed the road and started protesting. They said that she was murdered. The police was told that it was the wedding of the deceased’s sister. In the morning, before her palanquin was lifted, her husband had brought her. He had come to pick her up in the morning. It was alleged that the husband does not get along with his in-laws. That is why he brought her from the wedding early in the morning. The police pacified the protesting family members. After that, a case was registered in this regard. The postmortem of the deceased was done and the body was handed over to the family. Some injury marks were also found on his body. Later, the maternal family took the body and cremated it. The police say that investigation is being done. Only after that other things will be known.
