International Women’s Day is the day for praising women who work hard every day to accomplish individual and professional goals said Rekha Mahajan Secretary BJP Jammu &Kashmir while celebrating International Women’s day at Madhuvan Kids Playway school.
Rekha Mahajan said that if we give woman the opportunity and safe environment, she can do anything. There is no justification for the honor of women on just one day. A woman’s struggle is not limited to one day.
He has to face new challenges every day. Therefore women are entitled to get respect every day. This day is symbolic of the historic journey women around the world have taken to better their lives. It comes as a reminder that while a lot has been achieved, the journey is long and a lot more needs to be done.
Rekha Mahajan added that after Narendra Modi took over as PM in May 2014, things have changed a lot for Indian women For the first time ,the government’s flagship schemes are focusing on women. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, wherein, 40 crore bank accounts have been opened, more than 50% of the beneficiaries are women from the weaker sections of the society. Building toilets under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ The BJP government, under Narendra Modi, has increased maternity leave given not just to government employees but also private employees to 26 weeks from 12 weeks. Eight crore beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojna. Free aid on the 9th of every month for the benefit of Pregnant women. The Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) provides loan up to Rs 10 lakh to small entrepreneurs and one of the major beneficiaries of this scheme has been small scale women entrepreneurs.
Under BJP government, women have an opportunity to be permanent employee in the Indian Army and the Indian Navy, something that was unthinkable earlier.
Now, women are also working in coal mines. Our daughters are scaling heights by flying fighter planes. Recently Daughter of J& K Captain Shivani Manhas who has made a record by flying on the, north pole, the world’s largest air route.
The women across the country have got these facilities because of the commitment of our Prime Minister to strengthen them, socially and economically, so that they become self reliant and lead a dignified life.
Mrs Amrit Choudhary Principal of the school extended her vote of thanks and said that this year’s IWD theme is Let’s all choose to challenge collectively So we all have an important role to challenge inequality and gender bias. The event was conducted by Ms Meenakshi and Ms Deepika .
