Addressing a large gathering of women at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, on the occasion of launching of Membership Drive by BJP Mahila Morcha Jammu district under its District President Rekha Mahajan, former Dy. Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, said that the nation is scaling new heights in all matters and the women have a great role in nation building.
Kavinder Gupta said that in BJP the women are contributing in strengthening the party and the party stands for their socio-economic upliftment. He asked the Mahila Morcha activists to help the poor and needy in availing the benefits of various welfare schemes launched by Narendra Modi government exclusively for the women.
Kavinder Gupta, alongwith State Incharge Membership Drive Jugal Dogra, District President Baldev Singh Billawaria, District General Secretary Vinay Gupta, Mahila Morcha Seh-Prabhari Anuradha Charak, Incharge Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Sanjita Dogra and District President Rekha Mahajan also welcomed new entrants into Mahila Morcha and later distributed 200 saplings among women to be planted in connection with Plantation Drive.
Baldev Singh Billawaria, while addressing the gathering said that almost fifty per cent of the population is of women and their services are of great importance for the state and the nation.
District General Secretary Vinay Gupta said that today’s world is incomplete without taking women together in every field and that the party too need their support to be more strong.
Anuradha Charak Seh Prabhari Mahila Morcha Jammu and Kashmir said that BJP has set a target of getting seventeen lakh new members and maintained that the party will exceed this target. A special focus of the drive is to reach out to the weaker sections of the society and associate them with the party and its programmes.
Sanjita Dogra said that the membership drive should also have a social responsibility aspect. It should include a Swachhta Abhiyan at every booth and a plantation drive as well. Every women should plant a tree per five members of her family.
Membership Incharge Jugal Dogra spoke on the mode of getting membership of the party and briefed about Membership number i.e 8980808080.
Rekha Mahajan, spoke in details about the setting up of Mahila Morcha, party’s programmes for them and welfare schemes of the government at the Centre. She also spoke on need of planting trees in view of the rise in temperature of the earth. She also distributed plants among the women who joined BJP Mahila Morcha and all her team. She said that our Prime Minister has given three responsibilities to us when we go for a membership drive. We have to spread awareness about Swachta, plant five saplings each and also undertake some initiative for water conservation. She also thanked her team for putting their efforts and make each programme successful.
