Women power thronged the mega rally taken out today by well-known social worker and firebrand leader Amit Kapoor and thousands of people participated in it. A large number of people from Jammu North Assembly constituency participated in this rally taken out amid the beats of drums. His supporters from various areas started arriving at his residence in Janipur in the morning itself. The rally started from his house around eleven o’clock. His supporters first garlanded Amit Kapoor and then his convoy left for Janipur main stop amid the beats of drums. During this, his supporters were raising slogans of Amit Kapoor Zindabad, Jeetega Bhai Jeetega Amit Kapoor Jeetega. A large number of women as well as youth and elders participated in this mega rally. Apart from this, a large number of two-wheelers and other vehicles were also involved which were carrying the tricolor in their hands. This rally led by Amit Kapoor reached Janipur main stop and then passed through various areas of Janipur and ended back at his residence. During this, while talking to journalists, Amit Kapoor told the people to completely reject those leaders who were hiding in their homes during the ongoing movement against smart meters and property tax and are now going to people’s homes and asking for votes from them by pleading to remove smart meters and not to impose property tax. He also appealed to the people to reject outside candidates and said that they should give him a chance so that he can serve them. Let us tell you that Amit Kapoor has filed his nomination papers from Jammu North Assembly constituency as an independent candidate. Before the start of the rally, Amit Kapoor touched the feet of the mothers, women and elders present there and took their blessings. During this time, the entire area reverberated with slogans of Amit Kapoor Zindabad. Amit Kapoor’s entry into the electoral fray as an independent candidate from Jammu North has given sleepless nights to the candidates of opposition parties as well as those contesting from outside areas.
