‘World No Tobacco Day’ celebrated at JIAR

JAMMU, MAY 31:
Along with the rest of the country ‘World No Tobacco Day’ was observed today at Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research under the theme, “Tobacco and heart disease.”
To create awareness among the students about the ill-effects of tobacco consumption and the methods to curb the meance were discussed today in Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research.
The Introductory speech was made by Prakriti Sharma,Later speech was given by Aditya Sharma,Shakul Gupta and Tahir Rufayee.Speakers expalined in detail about the history of World No Tobacco day and the measures taken by the government to curb the menance in india.
The Program concluded with the speech of Prinicipal JIAR,Dr.Raghuvir Singh.He in-depth expalined the social and economic effects of tobacco use and urged students to aware the students to create awarness among the masses about ill-effects of tobacco use.
The Program was conceptualized and Coordinated by Dr.Twinkal Gupta.The whole program was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Chairperson JIAR Smt.Suman Sharma,Managing Directors Ritesh Sharma,Ravish Sharma,Japna Sharma ,Jasudha Sharma and Vice-Principal Dr.Nitin Mahajan.
