JAMMU, May 11
Jammu and Kashmir Wrestling Association today selected the state team for Ist under-15 Boys Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Girls National Wrestling Championship to be held at Meerut in Uttar Pradesh from June 15 to June 17.
Earlier, the screening of the team conducted by the J&K State Sports Council comprising member, Krupali Singh and Sports Officer Jammu, Ravi Singh at MA Stadium, here today.
The Team: Sunil Singh (44 kg), Rahul Singh (48 kg), Shashwant Sharma (62 kg), Kulvinder Singh (65 kg), Shakeel Ahmad (60 kg), Mohammad Sahil (68 kg), Bhanu Pratap Singh (44 kg), Anil Singh (48 kg), Mitali Kotwal (50 kg).
Meanwhile, Secretary, J&K State Sports Council also gave best wishes to the young wrestlers for the upcoming event.
In the meantime, former president Wrestling Federation of India and president J&K Wrestling Association, Dushyant Sharma apprised that with the introduction of under-15 championship, the wrestlers shall face more competition and exposure thereboy prepare themselves for the national level events.
