Xiaomi Mi 6X (Mi A2) launch confirmed for April 25, official teaser spotted on YouTube

It seems like Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Mi 6X or the Mi A2, before it launches its the other budget device Redmi S2.A recent report revealed that the company is working on the launch of Redmi S2 as well. However, before that the company has confirmed that it is going to launch of the Mi 6X or the Mi A2 to be on April 25, by posting a teaser poster on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The poster shows a Blue colour variant of the rear side of the upcoming smartphone, revealing it will have a vertically placed dual rear camera setup with a flash in the middle, as seen in Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the device. The poster also reveals that the handset will sport a 20MP camera, along with that there may be a 12MP Sony sensor on the back.
The handset which will be launched as Mi 6X smartphone in China, will likely be rebranded as the Mi A2 in India, according to rumours.
Just today, the handset has been spotted on YouTube that shows the device in its full glory. From the video, one can easily see the resemblance to the Redmi Note 5 Pro with similar 18:9 aspect ratio and dual rear cameras. The video also reveals the colour options of the upcoming handset — Red, Black, Gold, and Blue.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X has been part of various leaks. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor with three storage options — 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage, 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage. It is also expected to pack a 2910mAh battery and measure 158.88×75.54×7.3mm. It is said to sport a 5.99-inch full HD (1080×2160) display. To recall the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 6X was recently spotted through a firmware leak. It was also certified by TENAA in China.
