New Delhi, April 30 : Xiaomi’s latest Y series phone aka the Redmi Y3 is all set to go on sale in India for the first ever time. The Redmi Y3 will go on sale today at 12noon. The phone will be available for buying from Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Amazon India. It must be noted that this is a flash sale, and that means only limited stock of the phone may be available. So, the interested customers must hurry up before the Redmi Y3 goes out-of-stock.
As a part of the launch offer, the Redmi Y3 buyers will get 1120GB 4G data and unlimited calling facility from Airtel. During today’s sale, the all the three colour variants of the Redmi Y3 will be available — Prism Black, Bold Red, and Elegant Blue. The Redmi Y3 comes in two variants — the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model while the second or top end model includes 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone includes expandable microSD card support.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Redmi Y3 comes with a 6.26-inch display with dot notch screen, 19:9 aspect ratio, and a screen resolution of 1520x720p. The phone uses Gorilla Glass 5 on the front. Similar to the Redmi 7 the Redmi Y3 is also powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 processor paired with up to 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. On the software front, the Redmi Y3 runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. It includes a 4000mAh battery.
On the camera front, the Redmi Y3 includes two cameras on the back and single on the front. On the rear panel the phone comes with the same camera module that is also found inside the Redmi Note 7. The Redmi Y3 includes dual camera module with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for depth sensing. The front selfie camera is the key highlight of the Redmi Y3. The phone includes a 32-megapixel sensor for shooting selfies.
Coming to the price now. The base 3GB RAM model of the Redmi Y3 comes for Rs 9,999 – similar to the Redmi Note 7. The 4GB RAM model of the Redmi Y3 comes for a price of Rs 11,999.
