JAMMU, OCT 06:
Maintaining that terrorist killing of the Shri Makhan Lal Bindroo, Sarpanch, Ajay Bharti, Rakesh Pandita, Bantu Sharma and many more from minority communities and threat to minorities will never deter Kashmiri Pandits from returning to their mother land which the community has nurtured with its blood for 5000 years, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) has demanded a high level probe into the killing and action against the terrorists responsible for this dastardly act.
The YAIKS, which held a scooter rally in Jammu today and a strong demonstration was held at Dogra Chowk, while strongly condemning the killing of all the innocents who had served the majority community in his area for 31 years said such acts will not deter the resolve of the community to return to their homeland.
The demonstration was led by YAIKS president and North India Coordinator Pt R K Bhat and protestors with placards in their hands reading `Kashmiri Pandits -the Forgotten Community’, No Answer, No Justice, Akhir Kab Tak’ etc were shouting slogans against the terrorism and the failure of the powers that be in protecting the minority Hindus in Valley.
Addressing the protestors R K Bhat while accusing Pakistan and its sponsored terrorists for this dastardly act, said it is shocking and painful not only for the community but all peace loving people of India that those who are working for restoration of peace in the Valley are not spared by terrorists on behest of Pakistan. He said these innocents were killed because it is the agenda of terrorists. Not only he but there are more people on their agenda but this will never dampen our resolve to return to Kashmir, he added.
He however did not absolve the Government and security agencies for the lapses who failed to protect this courageous and nationalist youth. Bhat said the killings is also aimed at creating fear psychosis among the Valley posted KP employees.
Under prevailing scenario Valley pasted KP employees, their children and parents feel insecure and their safety and security is major concern for his organsitaion in particular and community in general. He said that there are even intelligence inputs indicating that terrorists may carry more attacks on minorities, so Government has to ensure their security.
Bhat, while demanding probe into the killing of Bindroo and others, urged the Government to provide exgratia to bereaved family and job to martyr’s next kin. He also demanded fool proof security to KPs in Valley, separate accommodation to Valley posted migrant employees and restoration of security at all religious places and minority pickets in KP areas. He also appealed the Lt Governor to shift the Valley posted migrant employees and other KPs who are working in Valley to Jammu till the arrangements for their independent accommodations is made in Valley.
