Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) wholeheartedly welcomes the imposing of Governor’s rule in J&K State under the leadership of His Excellency Shri NN Vohra who has a vast experience in heading this trouble torn state. The decision of the present NDA Government has at the same time aroused expectations for the youth of the Kashmiri Pandit community who are sure that the present governance will have no inhibitions in meeting their long pending demands, it may be recalled that more than a decade back a commitment of giving them six thousand jobs was made out of which only some3 three thousand appointments have been so far that also after a great struggle of YAIKS and intervention of the Governor time to time.
While talking to press RK Bhat, President YAIKS said that we earnestly hope that Hon’ble Governor who has been apprised of these problems number of times by our forum and having given patient hearing will resolve these suitably in a time bound manner.
He further added that Governor was also requested to review the proposal for setting up of an intellectual space in the Valley which was initiated long back when land of the purpose was under identification. The project when executed will bring back much needed academic excellence to the Valley besides being a step in the direction of recalling coexistence and Kashmir being known world over as place of learning.
