Actress Yami Gautam has weighed in on the topic of cosmetic surgery, clarifying whether she has ever considered going “under the knife.” Speaking at a skincare brand event in Mumbai, she delivered a witty and pointed response when asked if she would surgically alter her appearance. “Under the knife sirf aloo, pyaaz ko hona chahiye,” she said, drawing laughter from the audience. She added, “I mean, it is a personal choice, to each his own, I am no one to comment on anybody else. But I feel it is not right. If you want to do something, that should be your choice. It shouldn’t be coming from anyone, that, ‘Oh, this is what you need to do so then you will get cast or look better.’ I don’t agree with all those things.” On the work front, Yami was last seen in the Netflix comedy Dhoom Dhaam. She is now set to lead a courtroom drama, inspired by the 1985 Shah Bano vs Ahmed Khan case, in which she will portray Shah Bano, with Emraan Hashmi playing a role inspired by Ahmed Khan.
