In Vedas, it is said that of all months, Shravan is considered as most auspicious. It is the fifth month of Solar year on full Moon Day (Punam or Purnima), the divine firmament is under the celestial sovereignty of Shravan Nakshtra (one of twenty seven Nakhshtra).Therefore it is called Shravan. Each day during this month is auspicious for worshipping of “Bhagwan Shambu (Shiva). Shravan Mass is also Holy month filled with other festivals such as Janamashtami, Raksha Bandhan, Nag Panchami, Guru Purnima etc.
This year it has its own religious significance as well as five Somvars are falling during this Shravan Mass. The Monday falling in Sawan month has a special significance for the devotees. It is known as “Shravan Somvar”. Each day of the Shravan Mass has also a special spiritual significance as well, where Monday is dedicated to the worshipping of Lord Shiva, Tuesday is dedicated for the worshipping of Mata Gouri Ji, Wednesday for Lord Vishnu Ji or Lord Krishna, Thursday for Guru, Friday for Mata Lakshmi or Tulsi Mata, Saturday for Shani Dev and Sunday for Sun (Suraj Dev). Sh. Pawan Kumar Shastri, President of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, Jammu/Haridwar said while speaking in the Press conference held on 3rd July, 2019.
This year Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust has make elaborate arrangements on the eve of “Shravan Mass” at its Haridwar Bhawan commencing on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima the 16th July, 2019 (Tuesday) (on Shravan Sankranti Aashadh Sukal Purnima) to 16th August, 2019, (Friday). On this auspicious occasion all Hindu rituals shall be perform for the prosperity of the universe in general and for the devotees associated with the Trust in particular during this month. Trust is also going to perform Eleven (Rudhra Abhishek) per day through the learnt Pandit.
Devotees who intend to perform “Rudhra Paath” with “Rudhra Abhishek” for the prosperity of their family can fill up our prescribed form available at our Head office, Jammu or Haridwar office and make it convenient to participate in the forth coming programmes at our Haridwar Bhawan on the eve of Shravan Mass.
Those who are unable to attend Paath at Haridwar personally, Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust on their behalf shall perform Paath through our learnt Pandit which they can watch on Facebook Page of Jammu Yatri Bhawan while sitting at home.
