A new feather was added to the cap of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology as it launched Cleanliness Drive “Swachhata Hi Seva-2019:” The event was organized for the students of all the semesters and streams. The event comprised of three visionary programmes viz a viz : Say no to plastic, Cleanliness Drive at Workshop and Canteen.
The Event was inaugurated by the Director YCET Dr (Prof) A.K Srivastava. He motivated the students by his sparkling words that excellence is all about stepping outside the comfort zone, training with a spirit of endeavour, and accepting the inevitability of trials and tribulations.
The mission of the event is to prepare the Engineering professionals for social responsibility in the national growth, for the purpose of positively contributing to the well being of Society.
In addition to confidence building, enhancing capacity, influencing convictions, he stressed upon the fact that MAHATMA GANDHI taught us the importance of cleanliness, In connection with the 150th birthday of GANDHI JI. Our college Faculty along with students took initiative for this cleanliness drive in the college campus and took pledge to keep YCET Campus free from plastic use.,which is hazardous material on planet earth. The other official present during the said event were, Administrative Secretary Er. Nidhi Jamwal,B R Verma,Chief Coordinator, Deputy Registrar,Coordinator(SA), Coordinator(PD),all head’s of Departments and faculty members.
