The Youth National Conference (YNC) on Tuesday held a strong protest against unprecedented hike in petrol, diesel and LPG prices leading to inflation, and rising unemployment in J&K UT.
Scores of activists of YNC under the leadership of Tejinder pal Singh (Aman) Provincial Secretary YNC raised slogans against BJP Government at the Centre and J&K administration for their failure to curb sky-rocketing inflation and meager scope for job opportunities for the youth of the UT.
In a hard hitting statement, Tejinder pal Singh said that the working of BJP government is exactly opposite to what the party promised to people. He asked the BJP leadership that where are two crore jobs which BJP vowed to offer every year during election campaigning? He said that BJP promised to cut the prices of petroleum products including LPG, Petrol, and Diesel but after getting entry into the power corridors of the country he has forgotten everything and is punishing the innocent people by becoming mute spectator on the rising prices of essential commodities. He said that rhetoric of BJP leaders is matchless as they offer moon to people of all shades of life (Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas) but on ground even the BJP workers are facing the wrath of directionless and anti-people policies of their party which has made life of common man worst than hell.
He said that YNC will not tolerate the injustice with people especially youth and shall fight tooth and nail the anti-people policies of BJP led government. He said that the youth of rural hamlets of J&K are the worst sufferers as they have to come to cities for higher studies but despite paying so much fare due to rising fuel prices there is no hope in their life as government’s dead-end policies have snatched away all the avenues which could have provided jobs to aspiring youths. He said that still there is time for the people to think and get BJP out of the power to save the country from further loss and bring back smiles on the faces of people.
He said NC being the old and most cherished party of J&K can only lead the people from darkness to light. He said that sooner the BJP will be out of power the better it will be for one and all.
