Over the issue of exorbitant electricity bills, Young Panthers deputation today met with Chief Engineer PDD Jammu.
The deputation was led by Partap Singh Jamwal (State Vice President YP), Bhanu Partap Singh Goria (President Jammu West YP), Arun Mehra (Distt. Vice President YP) & Kapil Mehra (Vice President Jammu West YP).
People from Bhagwati Nagar of Jammu City alleged that PDD is not ready to listen to their grievances and the spree of department to harass innocent and poor masses is rampant. They said that one of the family belong to BPL but their old electricity bill are exceeding in amount ranging one Lac and Twenty Eight thousands and demanded complete waiver of the bills.
YP leaders said that it is not possible for them to pay entire amount as it becomes very hard to manage earning bread and butter for their family. They further said that the department should find out a way so that they can’t face any further problem.
After listening to the grievances of YP deputation patiently, Chief Engineer assured the deputation that needful will be done at the earliest. He directed his AEE for early and appropriate action.
