Yuva Rajput Sabha has reiterated its demand for public holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, which falls on Sept 23 and appealed Governor N.N Vohra to issue necessary order for the same.
Addressing a press conference at Jammu on Monday , Yuva Rajput Sabha President Rajveer Singh drew attention towards the most important issue and demand of the entire Dogra community ,which has played most important role in the formation of Jammu and Kashmir State under the leadership of Maharaja Gulab Singh, while Maharaja Hari Singh is credited with various social reforms and accession of Jammu and Kashmir with union of India, despite pulls and pressure from different quarters, he said.
He further appealed to Governor N.N Vohra to issue necessary orders announcing public holiday on Sept.23 on Maharaja Birthday, if failed Rajveer threatened of organizing serious of protest demonstrations in J&K.
