BJP J&K Vice President, Yudhvir Sethi has emphasized upon maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood in the Jammu region while asserting that these are the hallmark of the City of Temples. He stated this while flagging off a Shoba Yatra from Kanji House near Swami Vivekananda Chowk for Shri Sukrala Mata Ji as part of the traditional Chaitra Navaratri celebrations. A large number of devotees enthusiastically participated in the flagging off ceremony to invoke the blessings of Sukrala Mata Ji besides a substantial number of devotees were present in the group that boarded the buses from here to travel all the way to the Shrine of Mother Goddess in the serene Sukrala forests.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion the BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi said that Goddess Durga who is also known by the name Maa Kaali or Maa Chandi never tolerates evil acts or evil doers and becomes terribly angry against them and the people of Jammu have been staunch devotees of Mata and always follow the path of righteousness.
He said that it is a result of this attitude that Jammu is well known across the nation for maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood amidst diversities in religion and faiths. He added that in the current times when the anti national and anti-social elements are hell bent upon disturbing the communal fabrique, it is essential for the people of Jammu not to be led away by the provocative statements of such elements and maintain communal harmony at all costs.
The Yatra has been organized by Kanji House Sewa Samiti headed by Rajesh Kumar making all requisite arrangements for the devotees. Special arrangements have been made for the prayers as well as for providing other facilities to the Yatris enroute and at Sukrala Mata amid the COVID-19 situation, Rajesh asserted. On the occasion Yudhvir Sethi was honoured by presenting to him a robe.
