Yuva Rajput Sabha helda meeting here today at Marh, Jammu. Yuva Rajput Sabha demanded declaration of Gazetted Holiday on the birth anniversary of last Dogra ruler of Jammu and Kashmir, Maharaja Hari Singh.
The meeting which was chaired by Yuva Rajput Sabha President, Surinder Singh Gilli discussed the celebrations on occasion of birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji which falls on Sept 23.
Speakers in the meeting expressed resentment against the State Government for not declaring gazetted holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
Gilli demanded declaration of Maharaja Hari Singh’s birthday as a state holiday and lambasted the BJP & Congress for not taking the issue up.
Gill said that Sabha wondered if former chief minister Sheikh Abdullah’s birthday could be observed as a state holiday, why could Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary, which falls on September 13, not be observed.
Others who were present in the meeting included Mukesh Singh, Mandeep Singh, Kaka Singh, Vikram Singh besides others.
