Yuva Rajput Sabha to intensify Statehood demand: Raghubir Singh

Re-elected Chairman of the Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS), Raghubir Singh, stated that both the Centre and the Union Territory administration have failed to fulfill the promise of restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. He declared, “YRS will intensify its protests across the Union Territory in support of the statehood demand.”
He was speaking at the Turban Ceremony held at Patta Bohri, Jammu, in the presence of thousands of people from the Rajput community. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and highlighted the unity and strength of the community. During the ceremony, YRS President Vikram Singh Vicky, along with other stakeholders, felicitated the founder members of the YRS, including Chairman Raghubir Singh, Rajinder Singh, Ranjeet Singh, and Rajesh Singh. Committee members Mohan Singh, Ramesh Singh, Shamsher Singh, Rajveer Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Rajan Singh, Surinder Singh, Dharminder Singh, Mohinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Nitu Singh, Pushvinder Singh, Balwinder Singh, Rakesh Singh, Komal Singh, Ballu Singh, Bittu Singh, Jai Dev Singh, Prem Singh, Manjeet Singh, and Bahadur Singh were also honored for their contributions.
As part of the ceremony, Vikram Singh ceremonially tied the turban on Chairman Raghubir Singh’s head, signifying respect and responsibility. He praised the Chairman and core committee members, calling them the backbone of the Sabha. He emphasized that their vision, decisions, and unwavering support have enabled Team YRS to raise its voice for statehood and work for the betterment of the Dogra and Rajput communities.
Raghubir Singh expressed his commitment to serving the Rajput and Dogra communities and standing firm for the rights and welfare of Jammu and Kashmir. He called on the community to unite and take a stand for their future, particularly to safeguard employment opportunities for the younger generation.
“The Rajput community has shed its blood for the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir. In the coming days, YRS will focus on heritage preservation, securing Dogra certificates, and addressing employment issues,” Raghubir Singh asserted.
The ceremony concluded with all members of YRS and attendees pledging to take a united stand for the rights and development of Jammu and Kashmir.
