The Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest and the India Entertainment Awards, held on October 3 brought together industry stalwarts and fresh talent, offering a vibrant platform for discourse on the evolving landscape of digital entertainment. Held at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai, among the highlights is a panel discussion about streaming platforms and what’s next for these big OTT sites. Zareen Khan, who was joined by Sunny Kaushal, Priyanshu Painyuli, Ellie Avram, and more, said that OTT has also become a space where favouritism works. Speaking about the same, Zareen Khan said, “The OTT boom that we’ve had is because Bollywood industry, at the time, or Hindi films were facing backlash. This, in a way, gave rise to OTT space, great films, actors. It was that big period where it flourished.
