540 Agniveers Pass Out from JAK LI Regimental Centre in Srinagar

In a proud moment for the Indian Army, 540 Agniveers of the Seventh Batch successfully passed out from the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre during an impressive Attestation and Passing Out Parade held in Srinagar on Saturday.
The ceremony, set against the scenic backdrop of the Kashmir Valley, marked the successful transformation of young recruits into disciplined soldiers ready to serve the nation with dedication, courage and honour.
The parade was reviewed by Lt Gen P.K. Mishra, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, White Knight Corps, who lauded the Agniveers for their immaculate turnout, synchronized drill movements and exemplary military bearing. The event was attended by senior Army officers, civil dignitaries and family members of the Agniveers.
After undergoing months of rigorous physical training, tactical instruction and character-building exercises, the recruits took the solemn Oath of Allegiance during the Attestation Ceremony, symbolizing their commitment to the ideals of duty, courage and selfless service.
Addressing the newly inducted soldiers, Lt Gen Mishra urged them to uphold the highest traditions and values of the Indian Army and remain steadfast in their service to the nation. He praised the Agniveers for their resilience, determination and dedication throughout the demanding training period.
The Corps Commander also commended the instructors and training staff for their relentless efforts in shaping the young recruits into disciplined and combat-ready soldiers.
The parade concluded on an emotional note as the Agniveers marched past with confidence and pride, while the National Flag fluttered high above the parade ground. The ceremony underscored the spirit of patriotism and the commitment of India’s youth towards safeguarding the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
The successful completion of training by the Seventh Batch of Agniveers marks another important milestone in the Indian Army’s efforts to build a new generation of motivated, disciplined and technologically skilled soldiers. Their induction into the Army is expected to further strengthen its operational capabilities and reinforce its commitment to protecting the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
