A meeting of the BJP VDG Cell was held at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, under the leadership of BJP VDG Cell State Convener Basant Raj Thakur, State Co-Convener Ramesh Katoch, and Co-Convener Harinder Singh.
The meeting was primarily organized to review the organizational plan of the Cell and to discuss the preparations for the first visit of Bharatiya Janata Party National President, Niten Nabin, to the City of Temples, Jammu, after assuming the office of National President.
The visit is scheduled for 6th July 2026, and detailed guidelines regarding the programme were shared with all State Executive Members, District Conveners, and Co-Conveners of the VDG Cell.
While reviewing the Cell programmes, Basant Raj Thakur directed all office bearers to ensure their participation in the welcome programme with maximum strength, in accordance with the party’s directions. He emphasized that the presence of every member would reflect the unity and commitment of the VDG Cell and stated that their participation would be duly appreciated.
The meeting also witnessed detailed discussions on several issues concerning VDG members, including pending and unpaid salaries, deployment of duties, identity cards, job cards, and other welfare-related matters.
Addressing these concerns, Basant Raj Thakur assured the members that all genuine issues would be taken up with the party’s high command and that sincere efforts would be made to resolve them one by one at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by the State Executive Members, including Uttam Chand, Sukhdev Singh, Ashok Singh, Kirpal Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Rajesh Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, and Jai Govind Sharma.
The District Conveners and Co-Conveners present on the occasion included Jagdev Singh, Narad Singh, Vijay Kumar Shan, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Gurmail Singh, Dewan Sharma, Anku Ram, Bhajan Chand, and Angrez Singh.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective resolve to ensure the grand success of the National President’s visit to Jammu through active participation and coordinated efforts by all VDG Cell members.
