BJP Jammu & Kashmir Vice President Rekha Mahajan along with MLA Thakur Randhir Singh, District President Pritam Sharma, senior BJP leaders paid rich floral tributes to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee during a programme organised at Kalakote Assembly constituency in organisational district Nowshera under the ongoing Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Smriti Pakhwada.
Addressing the gathering, Rekha Mahajan said that Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee dedicated his entire life to safeguarding India’s unity, integrity and sovereignty. She said his unwavering commitment to nationalism, public service and the vision of Akhand Bharat continues to inspire generations and remains a guiding force for every BJP worker. Rekha Mahajan said the greatest tribute to Dr. Mookerjee would be to take his ideals and nationalist philosophy to every household and work with dedication for a strong, united and developed India. She urged party workers to intensify public outreach and ensure that the younger generation is made aware of Dr. Mookerjee’s historic contribution and supreme sacrifice for the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Thakur Randhir Singh said Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s sacrifice for the complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of the country will forever remain a defining chapter in India’s history. He said the abrogation of Article 370 fulfilled Dr. Mookerjee’s long-cherished vision of complete constitutional integration and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to unity and integrity.
District President Pritam Sharma said the Smriti Pakhwada is being observed across the organisational district to spread awareness about Dr. Mookerjee’s ideology and his invaluable contribution to nation-building. He called upon party workers to dedicate themselves to public service by following the ideals of the great nationalist leader.
Vinod Sharma and Yuvraj Singh also addressed the gathering and highlighted the life, vision and immense contribution of Dr. Mookerjee towards nation-building.
District General Secretary Vikram Sharma conducted the proceedings.
