Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dedicated, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth around ?1.06 lakh crore in Balotra, Rajasthan, describing the day as a milestone in the state’s growth journey.Addressing a massive public gathering, the Prime Minister said the projects spanning aviation, energy, railways, metro connectivity, water supply and renewable energy would strengthen infrastructure, accelerate economic growth and improve the ease of living.”A very special day for Rajasthan. These development initiatives across aviation, energy and connectivity will strengthen infrastructure, accelerate growth and improve ease of living,” the Prime Minister said.Dedicating the Rajasthan Refinery to the nation, Modi said the project would generate employment for thousands of people and significantly boost the state’s industrial development. He noted that despite unforeseen challenges, including a tragic accident during construction, the refinery was completed with determination.”Regardless of how massive and unforeseen a challenge may be, New India neither backs away from its resolves nor slows its momentum,” he said.The Prime Minister also highlighted the inauguration of the new airport terminal at Jodhpur, saying it would provide a major boost to tourism, trade and employment across the Marwar region. He also announced the launch of a new phase of the UDAN scheme and the expansion of Jaipur Metro through Phase-II.Referring to the global energy crisis triggered by conflicts in West Asia, Modi said India successfully navigated the situation through timely decisions, effective diplomacy and

balanced utilisation of national resources.”The resolve and efforts of the 21st century’s New India have triumphed over the greatest energy crisis of the 21st century,” he said.The Prime Minister said India expanded its fuel import sources from about 25 countries to over 40, increased domestic LPG production within days, expanded PNG connections, and kept LPG and fuel prices under control despite global disruptions.He said the government absorbed substantial financial losses to protect consumers and ensured uninterrupted fuel supplies across the country.Expressing gratitude to the people, Modi said the unwavering support of 1.4 billion Indians enabled the country to overcome difficult times.”I thank the 1.4 billion citizens of India who stood firmly with the nation, rejected rumours and conspiracies, and strengthened the country’s resolve during challenging times,” he said.The Prime Minister also announced a landmark ?34,000-crore agreement between Rajasthan and Haryana to bring water from the Hathnikund Barrage to the Shekhawati region through an underground pipeline.He said the project would benefit the districts of Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu and adjoining areas, providing a long-term solution to the region’s water scarcity.Highlighting the government’s focus on renewable energy, Modi referred to the expansion of solar parks, PM Surya Ghar Yojana, PM Kusum Yojana and large-scale groundwater conservation initiatives under the Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari campaign.He also congratulated nearly 54,000 youths who received government appointment letters and wished them success in their public service careers.The Prime Minister reiterated that Rajasthan remains at the centre of India’s infrastructure transformation and expressed confidence that continued public support would help build a more prosperous future for the state.
