The series, which found appreciation for its grounded storytelling in its first season, is set to return with a sharper focus on its central character and her journey within India’s rural healthcare system. Set in the fictional town of Bhathkandi in Jharkhand, Gram Chikitsalay showcases the life at a Primary Health Centre. In the first season, Dr. Gargi was showcased as a steady and compassionate medical authority, balancing professional responsibilities with emotional intelligence. Portrayed by Akansha, the character turned out to be a key pillar of the narrative, often guiding Dr. Prabhat, played by Amol Parashar, through the challenges of working in an under-resourced environment.
