Shanaya Kapoor made a notable runway appearance at Lakmé Fashion Week, turning showstopper for designer Ritika Mirchandani’s collection titled ‘Confluence’. The actor opted for a contemporary take on traditional wear, reflecting a blend of structured design and classic elements. For the show, Shanaya wore a hand-embroidered, pre-draped cocktail saree in a deep charcoal shade. The ensemble featured geometric beadwork and sequin detailing, creating a subtle shimmer under runway lights. The saree was paired with a corset-style bralette with a plunging neckline, adding a modern silhouette to the otherwise traditional outfit. Styled by Ami Patel, the look maintained a balance between statement dressing and minimal accessorising. Shanaya Kapoor’s runway appearance comes at a time when she is gradually building her presence in the film industry. She began her journey working behind the scenes as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl before making her acting debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, co-starring Vikrant Massey. She was most recently seen in Tu Yaa Main, a survival thriller directed by Bejoy Nambiar.
